Hearth — Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-05-18. This document is a plain-language baseline, not legal advice.

By adding the Hearth Discord bot to a server or interacting with it as a player, you agree to these terms.

Acceptable use

  • Use Hearth for personal enjoyment. Do not attempt to exploit, fuzz, or DoS the bot or our infrastructure.
  • Do not use Hearth to harass other players, attempt to coerce votes, or spam Top.gg’s webhook endpoint.
  • Do not use multiple Discord accounts to circumvent rate limits or weekly token-shop caps.

Bot operation

  • Hearth runs on infrastructure we operate. We may take it offline for maintenance without notice.
  • We may add, modify, or retire features at any time. Where reasonable, deprecations are announced in #announcements in the support server.
  • Vote rewards depend on Top.gg’s webhook delivering correctly. Delays or missed webhooks on their side are outside our control; we will surface our last successful receipt in /health for transparency.

Bans

We may revoke access for any account, server, or guild that violates these terms or the moderation policy in MODERATION.md. Appeals are filed in the #appeals channel in the support server.

No warranty

Hearth is provided as-is. We make no promise of uptime, data preservation beyond /forget-me, or fitness for any particular use.

Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, the operators of Hearth are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the bot.

Privacy

See PRIVACY.md for the data we store and how to request deletion.

Changes

When these terms change meaningfully, we post a notice in #announcements and bump the “Last updated” date above. Continuing to use the bot after the change constitutes acceptance.
